Which file formats can I send?
DXF is priced instantly. DWG, PDF, STEP and sketches are welcome too; our estimator prices those by hand. Draw at 1:1 in millimetres and remove title blocks for the fastest turnaround.
How accurate is plasma cutting?
Expect around plus or minus 0.5 to 1 mm on profile, depending on thickness, with a slight bevel on thicker plate. Holes smaller than the plate thickness are drilled rather than cut.
Is the online price final?
It is an estimate based on your geometry, material and quantity. We check every drawing and confirm the price by email before anything is cut.
Are there set-up or programming fees?
No. Programming and nesting are free, and there is no charge per drawing. You pay for the plate and the cutting time, with lower rates as quantities rise. If you supply your own plate, you pay for cutting only.
Is there a minimum order?
The minimum order is £20 ex VAT, before delivery. Larger quantities get lower cutting rates automatically.
How do I pay?
By invoice or bank transfer once you accept the confirmed quote. Account terms are available for trade customers.
Can you cut parts bigger than the bed?
Yes, in sections designed for welding or bolting together. Add a note to your request and we will propose the joints.
